Race entry is R65/ climber (payable on race day in hard cash, no cheques excepted, don’t even try that one, no credit cards). This includes a BIG, HEALTHY breakfast at Osdrift after the race. ( no summit, no breakfast! ) Should you decide to bring your spouse or supporters and have them enjoying the breakfast with us, it would set you back another R50/ person (they would be more than welcome). After much inner struggle and deliberation, I have finally decided to respond to your concern. As you well know, in the day and age that we live , the way the law is written and interpreted, it is just a fact that the criminals have got more protection and rights under the law, than us law abiding cyclists.These climbinal’s disregard for what is right, leaves us cold. To prosecute in terms of the law, will get us nowhere, as time is of the essence, so out of respect for the rights of these violators , we have decided to handle the matter, with wisdom , rather than aggression. At the moment the penalty for violating this rule, will be a deduction of 2 min 35 sec on handicap per ascent.
The rule about regarding the privacy of the landowner and his permission to enter, stands firm, and it should be clear that the violation thereof might put the future of this entire event in jeopardy.
( Should any of the Committee members be present on the climb, appreciate their sincere and honest attempt to exercise some measure of control on the mountain, as well as to do a thorough inspection of the route from time to time before raceday )

1. As a starting point, the committee consider cutting all last years times by 4 minutes across the board.
2. Participants will be allowed to forward factors and sob stories that should be taken into consideration to the committee, to assist in the calculation of their handicap. If any participant should carry a heavier handicap, feel free to submit evidence and notify the Committee without delay.
3. Any correspondence will be for everyone’s attention, in an effort to limit bribery and under the table advances. The committee will do all it can to keep this event clean.
4. Times last year varied between 1:08 and 2:00
5. Please respond on this invitation by Monday 10th November . The committee will then forward a list of 2007 participants with the times achieved by them. This is when the tedious task starts, where the committee carefully calculate a handicap for every entrée.( possibly benefiting the director and pantani)

It affords the race director, Stefan Hugo and Pantani (indecently last years inaugural winner and runner up) the greatest pleasure to extend this invitation to you to Participate in the 2nd climbing of the Jonaskop TT.
Jonaskop TT is a MTB time trail event with each climber given a formal handicap determined by the race director. (Benefiting himself of course)
